OFFICE OF THE

STATE HOUSE. BOSTON

Mr. W. Thomas Johnson
President and Chief Operating Officer, Los Angeles Times

Dear Tom:

The Directors of the White House Fellows Foundation met June 25, 1978 at J.T. Dykman’s home to discuss various items of business including our fundraising efforts: ! have enclosed the minutes of that meeting.

Naturally, in your absence you were assigned a task. That’s what happens to any board member who is absent for these auspicious occasions. I have asked that you and Art House work together to identify within the alumni/ae individuals who either through their associations or their employment might be in a position to target other sources for contributions.

I am meeting with John Gardner (hopefully next month) to discuss literature that we might use for fundraising purposes. Until then, we will have to go forward with the latest brochure. Those are available fro a the Commission office, and Art can give you whatever number you might need.

I thank you for your continued interest and efforts far reaching the goal of $270,000. Your work on behalf of the program has been much appreciated, and I hope you and Art will be able, through your efforts to target alumni/ae, to get us close to our goal.

Best regards to you and Edwina.

Sincerely,
Ann S. Ramsay
