• Ken Robbins (09-10) and Jason Dempsey (10-11) Launch MILLIE

WASHINGTON, DC (5/5/17) — Ken Robbins (WHF 09-10), Co-Founder and CEO of MILLIE was recently interviewed on Fox News “Happening Now” with Jon Scott. MILLIE is an online community and digital marketplace that connects members of the military with specialized knowledge and trusted resource providers to remove the stress and anxiety of the military moving process (PCS = Permanent Change of Station = Moving).

Members of the military are constantly moving. Over 200,000 service members exit the military each year, while an additional 260,000 are given orders to PCS (move) to a new duty station. And while the military will ship a family’s personal property, deciding where to live and how to navigate the moving process is largely left in the hands of the service member’s spouse. Because of this, these moves are a significant source of stress for military families. Unfortunately, few quality resources are available to assist with the moving process and, for those who will buy a new home, it is not easy to find an agent that they can trust. The goal is to make MILLIE a one-step shop and the most visible and trusted resource for veterans and military families on the move.

Ken, along with his Co-Founder Jason Dempsey (WHF 10-11) started the company in early 2015 after completing their twenty-year Army careers. During their fellowship, Ken worked at OPM for Amb. John Berry and Jason helped start the Joining Forces initiative in the Office of the First Lady.

MILLIE donates a portion of all proceeds to charities that support U.S. veterans and active-duty military. For more information, visit www.gomillie.com. You can watch the interview http://video.foxnews.com/v/5423220301001/?#sp=show-clips
