  • Charles Bolden and Jack Watson to Each Receive the Jack Valenti “Friend of the White House Fellows” Award

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the White House Fellows Foundation and Association (WHFFA), I am extremely pleased to announce that this year we will be presenting the Jack Valenti Friend of the White House Fellows Award to both Charles Bolden, former NASA Administrator during the Obama Administration, and to Jack Watson, former Chief of Staff to President Jimmy Carter.

The WHFFA presents the Valenti award to outstanding supporters of the program, who are not themselves former Fellows, for their efforts to enhance the reputation and visibility of the White House Fellows program. Past recipients of this award include: David Rockefeller, Bill Moyers, Joan Klein, Tenley Albright, Susan Eisenhower, John Phillips, the Lyndon Baines Johnson Family, and Michelle Obama.

We will present the Valenti award to Charles Bolden when we meet this fall at the Annual Leadership Conference: October 25-27, 2018.

We will present the Valenti award to Jack Watson when we meet next spring at the Carter Presidential Center: April 25-26, 2019.

I hope you will be able to join us both in Washington D.C. this fall, and in Atlanta next spring, when we present these awards to these two exceptional supporters of the White House Fellows program.
