NEW PROFIT inc. seeks Director of America Forward

New Profit is a nonprofit venture philanthropy fund that exists to help innovative social entrepreneurs and their organizations bring about widespead and transformative impact on critical social issues.

America Forward is a bi-partisan initiative that works with policymakers, legislators, and thought leaders to identify ways to combine public and private resources with the effectiveness and impact of America's social innovators. The America Forward Coalition -- more than 90 results-oriented, entrepreneurial nonprofit organizations strong -- has led this initiative since December 2007.

During the past year, marked by the passage of legislation and the commitment of the President and domestic policy team, America Forward achieved its initial goals: creation by President Obama of the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation; and, through the pass of the Edward M. Kennedy Service America Act, creation of a social innovation fund in government, and the scaling of national service more than three-fold.  As we transition to the next phase of the initiative, we will focus on growing these pilot efforts . . . and infusing the principles of innovation, impact and accountability into the way we solve social problems as a nation.
